Dick Lush
Dick has over fifteen years experience in high technology and networking markets, with in-depth knowledge of worldwide marketing, product engineering and developing new market opportunities. While at Avaya he contributed to their growth in new market areas resulting in the addition of $1.5B in revenue.
His Business Development expertise covers: creating joint opportunities for new revenues, building partnership programs for SIs, ISV, OEMs and resellers, M&A due diligence, research and SWAT analysis. This experience includes being part of the acquisition teams for four acquisitions, at an average price of $500M.
His experience in Marketing include new product or service research/introduction for single to very complex solutions, and long term successful marketing campaigns that resulted in increasing market share and revenue by 35%. As a Product/Program manager he has had Full Life Cycle management experience, including the development of PRDs, MRDs, Product and Service Product introductions, the creation of award winning support collateral and material, the establishment and training of distribution channels, and the sun-setting of obsolete products.
Dick has a MBA from Bryant, a MA in Computer Science and a BA from the University of Buffalo in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.
Bob Mannal
Bob has over 30 years of Marketing experience in both consumer and high-tech industries. Most recently, as Managing Director of RHMinc, he has focused on the IT Security market by bringing new products to market as well as conducting audits and assessments where Security products have been, or should be, used.
Bob’s consumer goods background is centered on audio electronics market, including bringing the first end user Bose Car Stereo product to market. Subsequently he was Senior Director of Marketing for Transmission Products at Codex, a Motorola subsidiary, responsible for all Marketing aspects (Product Management and Product Marketing) of a $400M line of data modems.
As part of the Business Development group at Security Dynamics (now RSA/EMC) Bob examined alternative authentication methodologies and headed up the SecurID Partner Program that integrated Security Dynamic’s code in Partner’s products.
At KPMG, he headed an effort to “productize” Public Key Encryption (PKI) as the way to safely insure Internet commerce. This included guidelines in establishing as well as auditing Certificate Authorities (CA). His KPMG work included conducting SAS70s for firms, including a SAS70 for Genuity’s Data Centers.
Working through RHMinc, Bob has participated in Sarbanes-Oxley reviews at Jay Jill, Akamai, Cabot and Network Engines. In addition, he has been involved with a number of security product initiatives ranging from Peer-to-Peer file sharing, to secure data storage and data leak protection.
Bob holds a BA degree from Lafayette College, and an MBA in Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Tom McGovern
Tom has more than 30 years of sales, marketing and general management experience in the Internet, data communications and networking industry. Most recently as President of McGovern Associates, Inc. he has focused on assisting startup and early-stage enterprises on the development of their business plans, product structure and positioning, as well as fund raising efforts. Earlier in his career he was an International Territory Manager for the Codex Division of Motorola.
He then started the U.S. subsidiary of a Canadian network equipment manufacturer – Datagram Corporation. After the parent company went public, he was elected to a seat on the Board of Directors where he helped guide corporate growth and market direction, until its acquisition by Memotec Corporation.
Tom’s subsequently founded Phoenix Data Communications Corporation and served as its President and CEO until its acquisition by the TxPort Division of Danaher Corporation. He then became the President and CEO of Lightband Communications, Inc., an ISP.
From there he was recruited to become the CEO of Appairent Technologies, Inc. which was a pre-revenue semiconductor startup. The focus of his activities was on raising sufficient capital to fund the product development, product positioning and establishment of initial distribution channels
Tom holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BA in Mathematics from Boston College.
